Sain tehtäväkseni jo toista kertaa TYRMYn synttärikakun tekemisen. Viime vuotinen kakku löytyy täältä. Tytöt toivoivat vitsinä hieman teemasta poiketen jotain söpöä ja ehdottivat Hello kittyä ja pinkkiä, ja nämä aiheet sainkin mielestäni kuitenkin tyrmymäisesti liitettyä kakkuun. Sisusta on pinkki ja päällä koreilee hieman goottirokahtava Hello kitty. Muina koristeina on marsipaaniverta, luunkappaleita, pääkalloja sekä mustaa ja punaista. Lisäsin myös pari verivaahteran oksaa puiksi. Tästä kakusta söi lähes 30 tyrmyläistä.

Already second time in a row I got to make the TYRMY birthday cake. Last year's cake can be found here. The girls were joking about wishing something cute on the cake, cute not being one of those things usually connected with this sort of theme, and suggested Hello kitty and pink as the themes. I think I managed to add these elements to the cake while still keeping the cake tyrmyish. The inside of the cake is pink and on top there's a sort of goth rock Hello kitty. The other decorations include marzipan blood, pieces of bones, skulls and red and black. I also added some dark purple maple branches as trees. This cake fed almost 30 of us.

Kakku on lähes samanlainen punainen samettikakku kuin tein viime vuonnakin, mutta tällä kertaa sisus om pinkki ja lisäsin siihen mansikanviipaleita. Kokosin kakun irtopohjavuuan renkaassa. Punainen samettikakku on edelleen yksi suosikeistani.

The cake is almost the same red velvet cake as last years cake but this time I dyed the filling pink and added some strawberry slices to it. I filled the cake into a ring mold. The red velvet cake is still one of my favourites.
